In 2011, Adam was engaged to be married. He and his fiance had been together for 2+ years, and while the relationship was not perfect, he had thought that it was time to take the next natural step. On the night of their engagement party, his fiance demanded he change outfits 3 times before they left the house. It was at that point, he knew he was making a huge mistake and that he could not go through with getting married. As difficult and painful as the realization was (and the ensuing breakup), he knew in his heart that it was the right decision. He was confident that if they went through with a wedding and marriage, it would only be a matter of time before they were divorced. As a Realtor for over 20 years, Adam has had many clients go through changes in their lives, and he has shared many drinks with friends and family members who were dealing with separation and divorce. Being there for friends and family and listening to what they were going through, Adam wanted to see if there was a way he could take his own lessons and experiences and help others who were dealing with their pain. He discovered the Certified Divorce Specialist designation and knew this was a path he wanted to follow. In his career, Adam has always followed the mantra of what’s in the best interest of the client. As a Realtor, you would think this is obvious, but sadly, many real estate professionals just want to have as many listings as they can get or work with a certain amount of buyers, thus forgoing the most important elements of our business: establishing relationships with our clients, listening to our client’s needs, and building trust. Adam has never been a salesy guy and thus, he does not push his clients into things they are not comfortable with or looking for. He is honest, will be forthright, and will provide the best feedback and analysis that he can. He comes from a place of truly wanting to help his clients and is empathic to their needs.
