Program Times
Unless otherwise indicated, our in-person training programs usually run from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Online CDS™ Training usually runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST. If there are changes to this schedule participants will be notified in advance of the program date, or specifics will be provided in the workshop details.Substitutions: If you are unable to attend the program, you can always send a substitute—even at the last minute. Just email us to inform us of the change.
Payment Terms
Registration is not complete until full payment has been received.
Refund Policy
Time of Cancellation: At least 30 days prior to training registrants may be eligible for a 50% refund. Less than 30 days prior to the workshop no refund will be given. In fairness to all attendees, confirmed participants who do not cancel and do not attend are liable for the entire fee.
Program Changes
Any course may be canceled by the National Association of Divorce Professionals up to 21 days prior to the scheduled start if there are not enough registrants. Any course may be canceled by the National Association of Divorce Professionals at any time due to circumstances beyond our control including ‘acts of God’ and world events. Should the event need to be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, there will be no compensation for any expenses incurred by the registrants. In these circumstances, the event will either be rescheduled for the same location or be rescheduled as an online live CDS™ training. In this situation where the registrant is unable to attend the rescheduled event, a credit for the full amount will be issued to be used for any upcoming event within 24 months.
Course Trainers
The Senior Trainer for the Certified Divorce Specialist is Liz Becker. In the event of illness, the National Association of Divorce Professionals reserves the right to provide a substitute Trainer for the course. Assistant trainers will vary and may include guest presenters from the legal, financial, mental health and real estate professions.
Course Details
CDS™ Course registration includes course facilitation and the CDS™ training manual. At the In-person trainings, coffee and water will be provided. Lunch will not be provided. Participants will have a lunch break each day of the course for at least one hour, which they can take on or off the premises. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks.
Course Materials
National Association of Divorce Professionals, reserves all rights on the basis of the Copyright law. All written material issued by the National Association of Divorce Professionals in the CDS courses, are strictly for the exclusive use of the participant and may not be copied, published or shared with third parties, unless with the advance permission of National Association of Divorce Professionals. Participants are not allowed to make sound or video recordings during the training.
Location
Registrants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the training locations, accommodations, and all meals.
Photography and Video Release
I hereby grant permission to the rights of my image, likeness, and sound of my voice as recorded on audio or videotape without payment or any other consideration to the National Association of Divorce Professionals. I understand that my image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed, and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the settings within an unrestricted geographic area. By signing this form I understand this permission signifies that photographic or video recordings of me may be electronically displayed via the Internet or in the public educational setting. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. By signing this form I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand and above release and agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against a person or organization utilizing these materials.
Termination
Participants, who violate safety regulations, interfere with other participant’s learning, are disruptive, and appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs are subject to immediate termination. Liability
Course participant is liable for all damages which result from their actions or neglect, this includes but is not limited to: Direct and indirect damage or injury the participant causes course venue or staff, other students, or any other damages or injuries that are not a result of course participation or exercises. Anything the participant does with the knowledge obtained during the course. Designation: Upon completion of the CDS™ training program, participants must complete the CDS™ training assessment, and receive a passing grade of 75% or higher to be issued the CDS™ designation. They may take the test more than once if needed. There is an annual designation reinstatement fee of $95, and 10 hours of divorce-specific continuing education must be submitted every two years. The National Association of Divorce Professionals reserves the right to deny or revoke a CDS™ Designation for reasons including but not limited to, misuse of designation, inappropriate and/or unethical behavior, and loss of professional license.
